PatAlerts story ends here..

Five years ago, we set out to create an easy-to-use patent intelligence platform. We saw an increasing need to give our clients an overview of their ecosystem and what was happening around their patent portfolios. Along the way, we created PatAlert, an outside insights tool, that proved our analysis to be right. We are very proud of the product we built, but even more so, we´re grateful for all the users who played a very important role in how the product was developed and utilized, and for the community that rallied around PatAlert and was inspired by the discoveries that came from it.

Over the last decade, AWA has experimented with several initiatives with the ambition of developing the market, together with you, our clients. We like to see ourselves at the forefront, not just of the creation of intellectual property, but also in matters of how the industry is evolving. When PatAlert was introduced to the market we brought something new to the table, but five years later that kind of intelligence can be found using other tools.

Many of our users have told us incredible stories about PatAlert finding business-critical information, but in the process, we have also learned that the majority of our users do not use PatAlert often enough to justify our continued time and effort - we, therefore, decided to put our investments where it´s better utilized.

On the 30th of June, PatAlert was closed down, all data was removed from the platform and there is no longer possible to log on to the service - all user data has been deleted and removed from our records.

Does this mean you should stop looking for outside insights?

Absolutely not! PatAlert´s story ends here but that doesn’t mean that your need for intelligence is gone. IP intelligence is probably more relevant now than ever, and there are many ways of doing it - some more effective than others. Just talk to your patent attorney and they will help to find a suitable substitute for your needs!

If you have any questions about the shutdown or how to move forward – please feel free to reach out!

All the best from the PatAlert team – may you always find what you are looking for!
